Day 8 - Day off but little ride out to Florence

Woke up to gorgeous skies, although we weren't really planning much of a ride today - maybe a day off? Yeah right, like that's going to happen...
PC doing a tad bit of work in the morning but not a bad place to be working from;
Needed to get some breaky, so T and PC rode down to the Coop to get supplies for the day and stopped on the way back up to take in the breath taking views of a Tuscany valley!
So a "no ride" day meant that we would just have a mini trip out to Catiglione die Pepoli, stopping for a tea, and then onward to Florence.
 Rode down the country roads to Florence and then stopped in a traditional back street, rough looking cafe for lunch. It so beats the completely packed centre, where restaurant  prices are quadrupled and there are too many tourists.

This was the view we were seeing on our ride into Florence
We were treated to some proper food and a quick beer before riding through the very centre of the tourist packed Florence, surrounded by 1,000's of people walking in front of us as we navigated through the busy streets.

 Back at the ranch for supper after a fantastic ride back up the motorway; nobody on the road at all, so did take full advantage and had a bit of a blast  - got to average about 170kph, but it felt quicker.

Caroine reliving the bends and twists of the motorway at high speed.
 PC's turn to whip up a storm - the eggs in particular were excellent!!!!
 Then a relax in the garden with some beers, overlooking the view of the valley below and watching the gorgeous sun setting over the mountains - not a bad day at all thank you very much!
 Mini dude has gone for a few days away and Stanley settled with George and out for a very gentle stroll with H....
