Day 6 - Day off (Ride around Lake Como)
The glamour of motorbike touring - you can only take so many clothes so you have to wash part way through. Normally do this on a day off... but it's always followed by a little ride for breakfast, in this case on the shores of Lake Como in Menaggio.
A day off turned into a ride to the other side of Lake Como - a 1 hour ride for a bite to eat. Didn't find anywhere to eat, or moreover we weren't that hungry, so we just ended up with a beer and some Apple cocktail for Mrs C.
Toby thought he might like to make some space for lunch, but on encountering the toilet from hell, normally encountered on the beach cafes in France not very posh cafes on the shores of chic Lake Como, gave it a miss!! 
We decided to cut riding around the lake and took a little car / bike ferry from one side of the lake to the other - only took 15 mins, but great fun.
Got to the Menaggio side and decided to have some lunch; a little late, but nonetheless gorgeous Penne Arabiatta!!!! Picked stuff up from the super-dooper to cook tonight and rode back in rain for the 1st time this holiday. Only had shorts and t-shirts on so was a tad chilly. Forgot the Mozzarella so went back down to the super-dooper and PC went to find a pack; well 15 minutes later Mrs C came looking and PC was in a queue of people with full trollies and not one of them would let him through with his one item!!!! Very mean! Mrs C and Toby were very worried apparently 😂😂😂
