Day 3 - Getting to Sainte Diè des Voges

Left Liėge at 8am after trouble getting out of the car park. Eventually slipped out of a pedestrian gap as the ticket machine was buggered. We did have a bit of shannakins riding out and took a left hand turn down a no entry.  Blame that one on sat nav…

Found this beauty of a cafe in The Ardennes run by an Amsterdam couple who have made it into a really trendy place. The cafe was in a village called Houffalize and the roads to get there through the Ardennes forest were just amazing!,

We then found a little roadside cafe; the 1st we came across in about 2 hours!! Owned by a young lad called Clement and his wife. They had renovated a run down house and made this cafe. The croque monsieur was fabulous!!
Toby ran out of steam after a 2 hour stint and we had to stop at the side of the road. PC was a bit desperate for a pee though and couldn't wait much longer!
Ah then this little place in "godforsaken shitsville" Stopped and had a very refreshing pression! cold beer - thank you very much it was most welcome.
After the presssion in Shitsville, we rode the most amazing road down to our hotel - The D82. OMG, it initially rose up into the sky and then descending steeply on a smooth, newly laid surface, extremely twisty, but fast curves and no other vehicle in sight. This was clearly an absolute bonus that was totally unexpected.
Louis is deffo looking at the Blog - he keeps phoning to correct grammar and spelling mistooks 😂😂😂🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
The Regàl Hotel in Sainte Diè is very expensive, but completely worth it. The food was exceptional and they offered PC's all time favourite bottle of wine - a Minuty!!
The end of night drink - a small glass of Belgium beer! OMG we're being really sensible as we are up early tomorrow to get to Switzerland
