Day 18 - Getting to Rotterdam
Morning arrived for our last ride on the continent this year - getting over to the ferry in Rotterdam. We hadn't taken into account that it was going to be an 8 hour ride if we went off motorway, as the route had been planned with motorway mode still an option. So the decision was to ride out of Hamberg on the motorway and get to Bremen and then have a few hours off the motorway and do the last dash on the main road.
Coffee first and walked around the corner of the hotel and found this delightful little bakery. Again the staff were so lovely.
So we got to Bremen, got off the motorway and went through small villages; have to say it was a little tedious and we didn't seem to be making any tracks or any indent in to the time. Macy-D's for break; 1st one of the tour, but just wanted something quick and easy on the motorway!!!
Have no clue where this coffee stop was, but do recall the stop in a fantastic little village where we had a rather welcoming beer - school boy error, we sat in the smoking side of the cafe....Bikes tethered and off for the last night of our holibobs ๐
